The Temple News
The Temple News is Temple's editorially-independent student newspaper. Since 1921, it has served as a watchdog for the Temple community and reported and covered issues on and off-campus. Student reporters, editors, photographers, videographers, designers and advertising sales executives can gain paid experience that has often helped them land jobs and intersnhips at media outlets like The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News and CBS News. Some of our graduates include Philadelphia Inquirer Pulitzer Prize winner Kristen Graham, ESPN SportsCenter anchor Kevin Negandhi, New York Times reporter Kia Gregory and Hall of Fame sports writer Ray Didinger.
The Temple News prints 5,000 copies that get distributed each Tuesday to newsstand locations around campus and strives to provide daily online content to its website, temple-news.com. The paper has also produced some recentl longform reporting that has been nominated for national awards by the Associated Collegiate Press, College Media Assocation and the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association.
