How to Apply

Apply using the Common Application. Learn more below about how to apply as a first-year, transfer or international applicant.

Fee: $55 (Fee waivers are available for freshmen who qualify.)

The admissions team considers the following when reviewing your application. ​

    General Requirements

    Transcripts

    Submit your self-reported transcripts. Your transcripts should display a well-rounded academic background that includes art, English, foreign languages, math, science, social studies and college preparatory courses.

    Standardized Test Scores

    Submit your standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) or learn more about the Temple Option.

    Essay

    Submit an essay that reveals more about you than your grades and standardized test scores. The essay should be at least 250 words.

    Extracurriculars

    Your interests outside of the classroom can help the admissions team gain a fuller picture of who you are and can factor into the review process.

    Placement Exams

    Students may be required to take language placement exams. The exams for Classics programs are by appointment and scheduled through the department.
